In the early 70's the law enforcement community found that officers assigned air conditioned vehicles performed much better than officers in hot non-air conditioned patrol cars. Then in the 80's came light weight bullet proof vests and with the vests came back hotcops. In the late 90's the "coolcop™ " came along, just in time to help keep peace in the new millennium.
The coolcop™ is a hose system that uses the vehicle's air conditioning to let cool air in where it is needed under the bullet proof vest. The system can also be transferred from one vehicle to another.

CoolCop's™ base is affixed to an unused
dashboard A/C vent using non-damaging Velcro®. Then the coolcop hose can be
easily attached or detached from the base and moved to another vehicle that
also has been equipped with a coolcop base unit. The Coolcop comfortably inserts
with the vest attachment in between your bulletproof vest and your T-shirt.
Cool air, blasted behind your vest, will cool you down and dry you out fast!
