Aggressive use of the E-I will maximize case closures, enhance officer safety and generate public/business support.
Tactical application can include up to four separate locations being monitored simultaneously.
Single Button Activation. Silent keypads and a single activation (ARMING) button as well as a (WHITE) test button.
Wireless Dual Tech Motion Sensor Dual technology microwave/PIR (passive infrared) motion sensor for excellent detection and false alarm immunity.
Detection range o f 35’x30’ (10.5mx9m) when mounted at 7’6” (2.3m). When triggered, a sensor transmits silently to the base unit in a way that cannot be heard by a perpetrator carrying a police scanner.
Sensors can be located up to 1,000 feet (line of sight) from the base unit.
Personal/Panic Protection Whether in a battered woman shelter or a bank/commercial application the use of the EI-1000 can be tactically covered by a silently activated personal panic transmitter allowing your officers to be immediately notified when their presence is needed.
Arson Surveillance a smoke sensor as an option allows your covert electronic surveillance to expand to apprehending arsonists. In a location where arson is anticipated the use of a smoke sensor placed where a fire is likely to be started can provide early detection.
Perimeter (Fencing/Gate) Surveillance The range of the EI-1000, up to 1000’ line of sight, allows the use of a magnetic switch on a perimeter gate for early warning of a perpetrator gaining access to a target location. Whether equipment in a storage yard or the building itself, knowing an area has been accessed will provide enforcement officers the opportunity to respond at the earliest possible time
Computer/Electronic Component Surveillance Beyond covering general areas and points of entry, individual equipment can be covered. A number of universities, libraries and retail stores are experiencing an increase in daytime theft of high value items that are easily removed from the site. It is particularly difficult to provide surveillance of these items and still produce the freedom necessary to display and operate them.
TECHNOLOGY OVERVIEW
Earlier RF (Radio Frequency) systems were unreliable, inconsistent and prone to being affected by RF disturbances known as interference.
THEORY OF OPERATION
Originally developed for the military, spread spectrum provided a secure method of sending information by radio. Spread spectrum technology communication transmits a signal over a wide frequency bandwidth.
Traditional wireless systems transmit over a narrow band . . . concentrated transmission energy at one frequency.
Spread spectrum transmits the energy over many frequencies simultaneously. Because the transmission is spread over a wide band the ability to detect the signal with conventional radio scanners is eliminated.
Interference caused by fluorescent lighting, battery chargers for forklifts, arc welders, overhead cranes and heavy machinery are virtually eliminated as challenges for spread spectrum technology.
