In police work you need something that is reliable 100% of the time.
BodyGuard uses actual peppers at 2 million scoval heat units
with 13.3 capsonoids.
BodyGuard LE10 gets the job done right the first time.
Pepper sprays are not all the same. In-fact some do not use real pepper, others add chemical irritants like C.S. gas. BodyGuard is a true pepper spray utilizing the finest quality peppers. Only by using high quality peppers can you obtain a 2 million scoval heat rating source such as the LE10 pepper spray. Pepper sprays that are only 1 million S.H.U. are like turning a stove burner on medium instead of using high, both will get the job done, but how long do you have, when you need to subdue a violent suspect; why wait?
WHAT
IS OC?
OC is the abbreviation for Oleoresin Capsicum, a food grade product derived
from various peppers. OC is an inflammatory agent that works upon contact.
OC creates a very painful burning sensation in the eyes, nose, mouth and throat,
making it very difficult, for someone who has been sprayed, to do the simplest
of functions. OC is a reasonable alternative to lethal force and will work
better on individuals under the influence of drugs, alcohol or who are mentally
unstable, than CS or CN (Tear Gas).
WHAT IS SHU?
SHU Is an abbreviation for Scoville Heat Units. S.H.U is a unit of measurement,
developed in the early 1900's, to rate the pungency (heat level) of different
types of peppers by a taste test. The taste test is subjective and not very
scientific. Guardian has an independent laboratory perform a more modern scientific
computer rating system known as HPLC (High Pressure Liquid Chromatography).
This rating system guarantees the quality and heat range of the OC, we put
in our sprays. (Few, if any other manufacturers do this, due to the high cost!)

WHAT IS CAPSAICINOID
CONTENT?
Capsaicin is the active ingredient in the OC. This alkaloid is the irritant
in the pepper.
Capsaicinoid Content is a true measure of Heat.
